{"id":704,"date":"2014-05-21T06:42:07","date_gmt":"2014-05-21T13:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cashlinqsupport.com\/helpdesk\/?p=704"},"modified":"2014-05-21T06:42:07","modified_gmt":"2014-05-21T13:42:07","slug":"how-do-i-change-a-donors-profile-password","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cashlinqhelpdesk.com\/?p=704","title":{"rendered":"How do I unlock\/change a donor&#8217;s Profile password?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A donor may forget their password and possibly lock their account (if they mis-key their password 3 or more times).\u00a0 The donor can reset their own password by clicking on the &#8220;I forgot my password link&#8221;.\u00a0 If they contact you, you can also change a donor&#8217;s Profile password to allow your donor access to their Profile again. \u00a0Once the donor logs in using their new password they can change their password to something only they would know using the [Login &amp; Go To My Profile] option. \u00a0Consider these types of password changes as creating a temporary password for your donor.<\/p>\n<p>To change your donor&#8217;s Profile password\u00a0you first need to look up your donor&#8217;s Profile:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Profiles&#8221; at the top of your Qsuite<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Find a Profile&#8221; on the left side of the screen<\/li>\n<li>You are now ready to search for your donor&#8217;s Profile. \u00a0Enter the first OR last name and hit ENTER (do not search for full names)<\/li>\n<li>Locate your donor&#8217;s Profile from your search results and click the &#8220;key&#8221; icon under the &#8220;Action&#8221; column to the right of their Profile listing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cashlinqhelpdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/resetProfile.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-705\" src=\"https:\/\/cashlinqhelpdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/resetProfile-300x134.jpg\" alt=\"resetProfile\" width=\"300\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a new password for your donor:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cashlinqhelpdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/profile-password.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-706\" src=\"https:\/\/cashlinqhelpdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/profile-password-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"profile password\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clqhelpdesk.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/profile-password-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/clqhelpdesk.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/profile-password.jpg 333w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Below is some explanation of the other options available to you here:<\/p>\n<p>a. \u00a0Email your\u00a0donor to notify them their password has been updated.<\/p>\n<p>b. \u00a0The Qsuite will randomly generate a new password for your donor&#8217;s Profile.<\/p>\n<p>c. \u00a0View the password rules.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Additional Information:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The LoginID for a Profile will always be the email address used by the donor when they established their Profile.
